New Video: Marind Anim

New from Papuan Voices, another video about MIFEE and its destructive effect on the Marind (or Malind) people of Merauke. This latest movie, described by it’s creators as experimental, is a mostly unnarrated exploration of different aspects of daily life for the Marind people in Bibikem village.

Marind tribe is the indigenous people of the coast and hinterland areas of south east of West Papua, including the Frederik Hendrik Island (Yos Sudarso Island), in what is now the Indonesian province of Papua. The Marind people follow a culture that enables them to live in harmony with nature. They are very ecological.

But the MIFEE project is threatening their culture.
